SUPPLEMENTAL SPRAY DRIED PLASMA IMPROVES WEIGHT GAIN OF LOW BODY WEIGHT NURSERY PIGS

APC swine seminar

APC is pleased to invite you to register and attend the seminar “Supplemental Spray Dried Plasma Improves Weight Gain of Low Body Weight Nursery Pigs”. The seminar will take place on 9 October 2024 at 14:00 – 15:30 hrs. at Sunflower B room, 3rd floor, Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC).

We are honored to have Dr. Joe Crenshaw, Vice President of Technical Services at APC, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Crenshaw will share expert insights into nutritional strategies to manage and improve the efficiency of low body weight nursery pigs. His presentation will cover the significant role that spray dried plasma can play in enhancing growth performance and overall health in nursery pigs. We invite Dr. Duong Duy Dong, swine nutrition expert to be Vietnamese facilitator during the seminar.

The development of genetics has generated hyper prolific sows that are producing large litters, but with a large weight variation between pigs within the litter. Pre-weaning areas are receiving weaned pigs with high weight variation and low body weight piglets with high risk. There are not many tools available to manage and improve the efficiency of low body weight piglets at weaning. One of the few technologies that have been used in Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and other Latin American countries is the supplementation of weaned LBW piglets with spray-dried animal plasma (SDP).

We look forward to welcoming you to the seminar.
